REMIXOGRAPHY
Welcome to my remixography. Listed here, in alphabetical order by artist, are many of my officially commissioned remixes and productions, along with the year they were released. I have also included a tiny bit of detail about each release. More detail on some of my remixes can be found on the Selected Remixes page.
I have not listed here any bootleg or unofficial remixes.

Ace of Base: Ace of Clubs (MegaRemix) (2023)
Project K MegaRemix
Project K MegaRemix Instrumental
Commissioned specially for the 2023 career-spanning CD singles boxset, this epic club track mixes up nine Ace of Base hits (including "All That She Wants", "The Sign", "Living In Danger", "Cruel Summer", "Wheel of Fortune" & more) into a 13-minute journey. Both versions feature on the "Love In December" single.
Ace of Base: All that She Wants (2023)
Project K Acid-Base Mix
Project K Acid-Base Instrumental*
Project K Acid-Base 12” Mix
Project K Acid-Base 12” Instrumental*
Project K Nitric Dub*
The song that started it all for the super-Swedes! A number one hit in thirteen European counties (and a US Billboard no.2) in 1993 was not a bad way to start! The dub-reggae lilt of the original is replaced here with four-to-the-floor club rhythms, twinkling pianos, lush pads and some light acid 303 lines, giving the mix an almost Pet Shop Boys sound. The edit and 12” mix feature as the first and last tracks on the “All That She Wants: Remixed” disc in the box set.
Ace of Base: Beautiful Life (2023)
Cheiron 12" Re-edit
Although Beautiful Life had an extended version (along with several big-name remixes) released back in ’95, the original studio tapes for this single revealed some extra “Maxibitar” sections created by the band and Denniz Pop that were never used. These have been pieced together by Project K, along with some previously unheard Spanish vocals, for a new alternative extended version.
Ace of Base: My DejaVu (2023)
Original Extended Version
Alternative 12" Mix
As the planned 1996 single release of My Déjà Vu was scrapped, no extended version or remixes were ever released. These two mixes were constructed by Project K using only the original studio masters, which included short sections clearly intended for a possible 12” mix but ultimately never used. No new sounds or effects were added in order to keep these mixes as close to what the band had in mind at the time. The Alternative 12” Mix uses the tapes from a different recording session and presents the song in a completely different way.
Ace of Base: The Juvenile (2023)
Project K Soundtrack
Project K Director’s Cut
Project K Delinquent Dub
Project K Orchestrapella
Project K Instrumental
Project K Director’s Cut Dub*
This wonderful song has its origins as a potential Bond theme (see the ‘Selected Remixes’ write-up for more detail) and that was the direction taken for this batch of new remixes, commissioned exclusively for the 2023 singles box set. What was once a gentle acoustic ballad is now a rousing, dramatic movie soundtrack. Five versions from Project K appear on the CD single within the set, and Jonas and Jenny from the band have both personally expressed their fondness for this new version.
Ace of Base: The Sign (2023)
Project K Acid-Base Remix
Project K Acid-Base Instrumental
Project K Acid-Base 12” Remix
Project K Acid-Base 12” Instrumental*
Project K Nitric Dub*
Originally released at the end of ’93, “The Sign” was a huge hit around the world, reaching no. 2 in the UK and no. 1 in the US Billboard Hot 100. It went on to become one of the band’s signature tunes and, arguably, one of the defining pop songs of the early 90s. Project K’s electro-house mix initially existed only as the closing crescendo of his Ace of Clubs MegaRemix, but he was asked to expand that segment into a full remix in its own right, so that it could feature alongside the classic original in the 2023 singles box set. The edit, instrumental and 12” mix all feature.
Ace of Base: Would You Believe (2023)
Project K’s Night at 54 Mix
Project K’s Night at 54 Instrumental
Project K’s Night at 54 Orchestrapella
Project K’s All Night at 54 Mix
Project K’s All Night at 54 Instrumental*
Project K’s Danceteria Dub
Project K’s Danceteria Dubstrumental*
If “The Juvenile” was shaken from a gentle ballad and stirred into dramatic movie soundtrack, then “Would You Believe” had its light, summery acoustic vibe beaten out of it with a mirrorball! Project K’s remixes transport the song from early noughties Sweden to late seventies New York, drenching it in all the lush excesses of classic disco. A whopping five mixes from Project K join Matt Pop’s 2023 updates in the box set.
Bazz: Two of Hearts (2023)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Extended Version
Project K Instrumental
Project K's EuroHouse Mix
Project K's EuroHouse 12" Mix*
Project K's EuroHouse Instrumental
Bazz is the inimitable and effervescent host of the Energy Express radio show on Phoenix FM 96.7. For his follow-up to "Speak To Me", he has turned to his love of 80s bangers and shown impeccable taste in his choice to cover Stacy Q's never-quite-as-big-as-it-shoulda-been classic "Two of Hearts". Produced by Project K, the main versions stay true to the 80s electro original, whilst the alternative EuroHouse versions take the song in a more bouncy piano house direction.
Bazz: Spinning Plates (2023)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Club Mix
Project K Instrumental
After "Two of Hearts", Bazz entrusted Project K with production duties for his first self-written song! With a lyric that everyone with a busy life can relate to, the song maps the ups and downs of the hectic everyday, but maintains an optimistic outlook -to reflect Bazz's sunny persona!- in both words and music. Don't be fooled by the theme, though, this is a Bazz Banger!
Bazz: A Walk in the Park (2023)
Project K Single Mix
Project K Extended Disco Mix
Project K Instrumental
The third collaboration between Bazz & Project K is a cover of the Nick Straker Band disco classic, "A Walk in the Park", which charted at no.20 in the UK in 1980. This new version is a full-on hi-nrg/disco updating, with backing vocals from Project K, Tee Webb and the mysterious Beverly Vox.
Bazz: Qu'Est-Ce Que C'Est (2024)
Project K Radio Mix
Project K Extended Mix
Project K Instrumental
Project K Dramapella
The fourth Bazz single produced by Project K is a cover of the Splash! 1986 single "Qu'Est-Ce Que C'Est", which was written and produced by Stock, Aitken & Waterman. This new version references the hi-NRG stylings of SAW in the mid-80s, and is enhanced by stellar backing vocals from US singer, Magenta Soulstar.
In May 2024, "Qu'Est-Ce Que C'Est" started a four-week reign at no.1 on the LGBTQ Music Chart, as voted for by its listeners around the world.
Bright Light Bright Light: Being Sentimental (2021)
Project K Radio Edit*
Project K Remix
Project K Extended Remix*
BLx2 invited producers and remixers from around the world to contribute remixes for a 2021 release of this once-b-side, and then asked his patron super-fans to vote for their favourites. The most popular four remixes (of which this was one!) joined his own extended version on a special remix package, released via Bandcamp.
Dannii Minogue: I Begin To Wonder (2023)
Project K's Night at 54 Mix
Project K's Night at 54 Instrumental*
Project K's All Night at 54 Mix
Project K's Piano Mix
Project K's Piano Mix Instrumental*
Originally released in 2003, "I Begin to Wonder" was an instant pop smash, charting at no.2 in the UK (no.1 in the dance charts). It was also a hit around Europe and in Australia, and even reached no.14 in the US Billboard Dance Sales chart. Its success was further enhanced at the time by the official release of a brilliant mash-up with Dead or Alive’s mighty ’85 chart-topper, “You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)”.
Dannii has said she considers this her signature hit. It's not hard to see why.
Project K has taken the song in a very different direction, whilst absolutely maintaining its dance floor appeal.
The mixes were approved by the lady herself for inclusion on her “Neon Nights” 20th anniversary reissue.
You'll find all three mixes on the 7CD box set, the full 8-and-a-half-minute "All Night..." disco mix on the standard single CD, and the "Night at 54" disco edit on the cassette and on digital & streaming platforms. The totally different (and more contemporary) "Piano Mix" is exclusive to the 7CD set.
Thereza Bazar's Dollar: Stuck (2024)
Project K Remix
Project K Extended Remix
Project K's Dollar Dub*
Thereza Bazar's new version of Dollar (with Stephen Fox sharing vocal duties) ups the pace from last release (a new version of "Hand Held in Black & White") with self-penned pop/club track, Stuck. Project K goes for a bold, beats- and bass-heavy mix, with Stephen's lead to the fore and Thereza's trademark breathy and ethereal vocals floating sweetly on top.
Haywoode: Roses (2018)
Project K Remix
Project K Dub*
"Roses" was first a hit in 1986, a bona fide 80s anthem, reaching no. 11 in the UK and the top 30 of the US dance chart. A 2018 re-release from Energise included brand new remixes from Project K and Andy Sikorski and entered the iTunes dance chart top 30.
Haywoode: Love Eternally (2019)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K's Electric Love Club Mix
Project K's I Feel Dub*
"Love Eternally" was the final single lifted from Haywoode's "Bounce Back (Deluxe)" album with the Project K Radio Mix selected as lead mix. The more stripped Club Mix and unreleased Dub pay deliberate tribute to Donna Summer's seminal "I Feel Love".
Haywoode: If You Give Love (2019)
Project K Radio Edit*
Project K's Chemical Reaction Mix
The final track from "Bounce Back" given the Project K treatment was "If You Give Love", with the club mix included on the 2CD version of the album.
Hazell Dean: Nightlife (2015)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Electric Love Club Mix
Project K's two remixes of "Nightlife" were released digitally and on a limited edition members -only 2CD single set. It was then featured again (in an ever-so-slighly-longer edit) on Energise's "Hazell Dean Collected" 4 CD set in 2018.
Hazell Dean: The King Has Lost His Crown (2017)
Project K Album Mix
Project K Club Mix
Hazell's cover of Abba's glorious "The King Has Lost His Crown" was given the retro-remix treatment by Project K at the request of her label. The edit featured on Hazell's "Re:Visited" album of Abba covers, whilst the full length mix was released on the special "Re:Xtended" EP later the same year. Sadly, these mixes and those for "Nightlife" are now unavailable after the end of Hazell's license with Energise.
Heaton: Once Upon A Time (2008)
Project K Club Edit
Project K Club Mix
This was one of the first ever commissioned Project K remixes! Heaton is a talented singer-songwriter from Manchester and this was the first of many collaborations between Heaton & Project K.
Heaton: The Project K Remixes EP (2022)
Computer Music (Project K Remix)
Love Has Gone (Project K Remix)
Let Me Know (Project K Remix)
No Thank You (Project K Remix)
This 4-track digital EP collects together previously unreleased extended remixes completed around the time of release of Heaton's "Army of Sound" album in 2014, to which Project K contributed some production, mixing and even backing vocals! The EP is available on all download and streaming platforms. You can check out Heaton's website here.
Jane Badler: Sunburn (2017)
Project K Edit
Project K Aftersun Club Mix
Project K DJ Club Mix*
Project K DJ Dub*
Jane Badler is an actor best known for her portrayal of reptilian alien "Diana" in the classic TV series "V". When she's not swallowing large rodents whole, she enjoys making music, and released this sun-kissed track in 2017.
Jason Donovan: The Hits Megamix (2011)
Project K Radio Mix
Project K Extended Version
Project K's JD Journey
Commissioned to cash-in on Jason's appearance in season 9 of BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing (he came third!), Project K provided three different mega mixes - two of just the big hits (in edit and extended format) and a third, epic, 15-minute "journey" that included album tracks and a b-side as well as the better-known singles. All three mixes were released across two digital EPs.
JLX feat. LaVance Colley: The Music Will Take Care Of You (2022)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Extended Club Mix
This utterly joyous ode to the power of disco, with astonishing vocals from LaVance Colley, was the brainchild of LA's JLX. Project K was in great company on the 'Side A' remix bundle, with Pete Hammond, Matt Pop, and Leo Frappier (Sylvester, Kristine W) joining the party.
Julo: Rain Of Tears (2020)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Club Mix
Project K Dub
Project K Instrumental
Belgium's Steve Gobin enlisted Project K to produce the bittersweet "Rain of Tears" for singer Julo, which achieved some impressive streaming numbers across Europe. The Dub brings out the electro and acid leanings of the production to full effect.
Katie Boyle: More Than A Friend (2016)
Project K Retro Radio Edit*
Project K Retro Club Mix
Project K Retro Dub*
Katie released two singles on Energise, of which this was the first. Project K's Retro Club Mix channeled a slight Mel & Kim vibe and was featured on the two-track download single and five-mix CD single.
Kim Wilde: Water On Glass (2024)
Project K Soundtrack
Project K Instrumental Soundtrack*
Project K Reprise*
Project K: Project Kim (2020)
First remixed by Project K in 2020 for the deluxe reissue of Kim’s debut album, 2024 saw the release of an altogether more adventurous and satisfying “Soundtrack” remix – a synthwave epic in three movements which manages to capture the desperation of the original lyric but also deliver a rather uplifting finale! This new mix was released as a digital single on 9th Feb and can be found on the “Special Disco Mixes” disc of the 2024 RAK Years boxset and the accompanying red vinyl for RSD24.
Kim Wilde: View From a Bridge (2024)

Project K Soundtrack
Project K Instrumental Soundtrack*
Project K Extended Version*
Another early Kim hit with a dark lyric (it was a UK top 20 and even bigger hit across Europe in 1982), the Project K Soundtrack is both dramatic and danceable, with a punchy new bassline to help the track hit harder than ever before. This epic mix features on the "Special Disco Mixes" disc of the "Love Blonde: RAK Years" boxset, and on the accompanying red vinyl for RSD24. The Extended Version (which is as yet unreleased) is a completely different mix, this time produced using only the original stems to create the extended mix which could (and should) have been made in '82!
Kim Wilde: Love Blonde (2024)
Project K's Limelight Edit*
Project K's Limelight Mix
Project K's Limelight Instrumental*
Project K's Latin Static Dub - Parts I & II*
Project K's Latin Static Beats*
Originally released as a single in 1983, this rockabilly swing track was not necessarily an obvious contender for a dance remix. But as an extended version of the song was released at the time (it was Kim's first official 12" mix), something different was needed, and Project K leapt at the challenge to turn the song into the kind of mix that Shep Pettibone may have produced had EMI America commissioned a dance mix from him for the US clubs in the mid 80s. The full length Limelight Mix features on the "Special Disco Mixes" disc of the new RAK Years collection and on the accompanying red vinyl, released for RSD24.
Kim Wilde: Can You Hear It (2020)
Project K: Project Kim
Originally a standout track from Kim's third album, 1983's "Catch As Catch Can", Project K radically reinterpreted the album version in 2020, turning the gentle ballad into a tougher, hectic, breakbeat epic, complete with an uplifting climax to tie in with the optimistic lyrics. Or, as one Kim fan reviewed it on the PopJustice forum, "a nine-minute drum n bass/ambient/pop masterstroke that elevates it to 2020 anthem status".
Lee Scott & Ryan Claud: Todo El Mundo (2021)
Project K Energised Alive Edit
Project K Energised Alive Club Mix
Project K Energised in Ecuador Mix
Something a little different as Project K takes on a summery latin song from a pair of Euroboys. Adding a tribal club flavour (and referencing a couple of 90s bangers en route), Project K's mixes keep the latin feel but up the energy. The CD-exclusive "Energised in Ecuador" version adds a cheeky nod to a certain Sash! hit from '97.
Linda Martin: I've Never Been To Me | Fairytale (2018)
I've Never Been To Me:
Project K's Retro Paradise Radio Mix
Project K's Flight to Paradise Club Mix
Fairytale:
Project K Radio Mix*
Project K Remix
Irish Eurovision royalty (with one win and one runner-up), Linda Martin returned with an album of cover versions in 2018, for which Project K was asked to remix two tracks. Charlene's classic "I've Never Been To Me" was given a retro PWL flavour (with both edit and club mix appearing on the 2CD version of the album) and Dana's "Fairytale" was rubbed up into a shiny pop trinket, with the club mix included on the album.
Linda Martin: It's Getting Better (2021)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Club Remix
Linda's cover of the classic Mama Cass track was produced by Pete Ware and features BVs-a-plenty from the talented Tee Webb. Project K's two remixes featured on the CD and digital single.
Misha Singer: Diddly Squat (2021)
Project K Single Version
Project K Extended Version
Project K Electro Dub
Project K Instrumental
This song has a long and complicated backstory. It was written by and started life as an unfinished demo by Pet Shop Boys. "Diddly Squat" then became a new song called "All Or Nothing" by a young Japanese singer called Miu. Two decades later, Steve Gobin & Markus Wagner gave it back its original title, wrote some brand new story-telling lyrics, got Misha Singer to sing it for them, and asked Project K to completely make-over their guitar-driven demo. That acidic electro remake was then sent to PSB for their approval. The Boys' blessing received, the track was released along with Project K's extended, dub and instrumental mixes.
Nicki French: On your Marks, Get Set, Go Away (2018)
Project K Mirrorball Edit
Project K Mirrorball Club Mix
Nicki should need no introduction after selling 5 million copies of her dance remake of "Total Eclipse of the Heart". Project K's edit of "On Your Marks..." was exclusive to the CD single, whilst the club mix was exclusive to the deluxe 2CD set of parent album "Glitter to the Neon Nights".
Nicki French: Haunted Heart (2020)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Haunted House Mix
Project K Horror House Dub*
I Surrender to a Total Eclipse of the Haunted Heart (Megamix)
Nicki's first single of the 2020s was this wonderful Gordon Pagoda co-write. A bit spooky, a bit dramatic and with added (haunted) house piano, Project K's club and radio mixes featured on the CD single and digital releases. The CD single boasted an exclusive mega mix of 3 Nicki tracks, also by Project K.
Nicki French: Last Night On Earth (2020)
Project K's End of Days Remix
Project K's End of Days Dub*
Project K Remix - DJU4iC Re-edit
This gorgeous ballad was given a bombastic mid-tempo makeover by Project K and given away by label Energise as a free download (for one week only) during the first Covid lockdown. A re-edit of the mix by DJU4iC was then included on Nicki's remix EP, along with...
Nicki French: Wanted (with Suzanna Dee) (2020)
Project K Mix
Project K Instrumental*
Nicki & Suzanna's cheeky cover of The Dooleys' "Wanted" was given a bouncy electro-house remake by Project K specifically for Nicki's remix EP "A Touch More Glitter". The remix was designed to match the energy of the vocals in this diva-off!
Nicki French: Love to Call My Own | Ain't No Smoke Without Fire (2022)
Love to Call My Own:
Project K's Electric Love Single Mix
Project K's Electric Love Club Mix
Ain't No Smoke Without Fire:
Project K Radio Mix
Project K Club Mix
Nicki originally released these two songs around 2009/10, but they have been given a new lease of life for 2022 as a special "Project K versus Nicki French" release!
"Love to Call My Own"gets a pop-trance makeover, with some tougher elements reserved for the club mix. Project K was a bit of a trance fan back in its heyday and this remix gives a respectful nod in that direction.
"Ain't No Smoke" is given a pop/club makeover, with a new chord progression and some verse vocals added to the later choruses to bring a new hook to the track.
As with all Nicki tracks, her killer vocals take centre-stage and shine bright in all four mixes!
Nicki French: Santa Class is Coming to Town (2022)
Project K Radio Mix
Project K Extended Mix
Project K Club Dub
This Christmas favourite has been given a festive party dance floor makeover for 2022!
The radio and extended mixes keep the song intact but add some commercial club sounds, whilst the Club Dub does away with the song altogether and highlights just Nicki's awesome ad-libs over a tougher electro track with a new, uplifting chord progression, making it suitable for the dance floor at any time of year. Because a diva isn't just for Christmas...
Nicki French: You're The Only One (2023)
Project K's Melodramatic Edit*
Project K's Melodrama
Project K's Instrumental Melodrama*
Commissioned as part of Nicki's 2023 "Eurovision" album, Project K's club mix samples male voice choirs, real orchestral strings, and some big, tribal drums to create high drama on the dance floor! This epic 7 minute melodrama is available to stream or download or buy on CD from the Energise website.
Nicki French: Nothing Is Impossible (2024)
Project K Radio Mix
Project K Instrumental*
Project K Extended Club Mix
Project K House Dub
Project K House Dubstrumental*
Nicki's first single of 2024 is this Gordon Pogoda co-write, which gives a knowing nod in Abba's direction. Matt Pop's production enhances the super-Swede influences, whilst Project K takes the song into clubbier territory, perhaps even channelling a little Thunderpuss energy. The Extended Club mix keeps the song fully intact but leans more heavily on Nicki's diva adlibs, whilst the House Dub does away with the prettier elements of the song altogether, replacing them with a pounding piano riff!
Nicki French: High Hopes & Heartaches (2024)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Instrumental*
Project K Extended Dance Mix
Project K Extended Instrumental*
Project K Diva Dub
Project K Diva Dubstrumental*
"High Hopes & Heartaches" was written by Abba's Benny Andersson & Bjorn Ulvaeus for Josefin Nilsson's 1993 album "Shapes", and produced for Nicki -with a respectful nod to the original- by Matt Pop. Project K opted to give his versions a little more hi-NRG welly to match the power of Nicki's vocal delivery. (Technically, they are original productions, rather than remixes, as they were created from scratch, using Nicki's raw vocal stems -all 44 of them!- and none of Matt Pop's vocal production.) The bonus Project K dub also uses some of the otherwise unheard Nicki ad-libs from the recording session.
Nicki French: Falling For An Angel (2024)
Project K Album Version
Project K Heavenly Disco Mix
Project K Heavenly Disco Instrumental*
"Falling For An Angel" is one of many tracks written for Nicki's "Who, What, Where?" album by Gordon Pogoda. Project K's production is one of disco opulence, layering slinky strings on punchy piano, whilst letting Nicki's wonderful vocals soar! The full-length disco mix, released four months after the LP on its accompanying remix album, has an exciting brass-heavy coda as its crescendo.
Nicki French: Who, What, Where? (2024)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Slinky Disco Mix
Project K Slinky Disco Dub*
Project K Slinky Disco Instrumental*
The title track of Nicki's 2024 album was actually remixed by Project K way back at the start of 2021 and was the first of his 70s disco styles mixes, going on to inspire the similarly themed "Night at 54" mixes for Dannii Minogue and Ace of Base. The edit featured as an exclusive bonus track on the CD version of the album whilst the full Slinky Disco Mix was released on the "Remixed & Extended" collection.
Nicki French: Two Courageous Hearts (2024)
Project K Radio Edit*
Project K Extended Remix
Project K Instrumental*
The sixth and final track from Nicki's "Who What Where" album to receive a Project K remix was "Two Courageous Hearts" - commissioned as a new remix for the LP's accompanying remix album. A bouncy synth baseline drives this pacy mix forwards, whilst a breakdown in the middle of the extended remix offers a temporary foray into clubbier territory.
Paul Varney: Kiss and Make Up (2016)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K 12" Club Mix
Project K Dub
Paul Varney was in the duo Yell! ("Instant Replay") and then released a couple of singles in the early 90s on PWL. "Kiss and Make Up" was a comeback single in 2016 with a limited CD single issued containing the three Project K remixes. The Project K Club Mix was also included on the 2017 reissue (as the "Classic 80s Club Mix").
Peter Wilson: The Game Of Love (2016)
Project K Radio Edit*
Project K Vineyard Mix
"The Game Of Love" was the first of many Project K retro remixes commissioned by Australian singer-songwriter Peter Wilson. Commissioned after he heard Project K's cover of "Mind Over Matter" on YouTube, the Vineyard Mix (named after the PWL studio address) featured on the CD and digital single release.

Project K Borough House Dub*
"Hold You Tight" was the second retro remix that Project K was asked to create for Aussie singer Peter Wilson. The more PWL-pop-sounding Bunker Mix made it onto the CD single and digital release, whilst the PWL-house-style mix was a bonus track on the original digital version of Peter's "Overdrive" album in 2017.
Peter Wilson: Anxiety (2017)
Project K Hi-NRG Radio Mix*
Project K Hi-NRG 12" Mix
Project K Hi-NRG 12" Dub*
Project K Hi-NRG Bootleg Mash*
Project K channelled Dead Or Alive's mighty "You Spin Me Round" in this retro-energy remix. The 12" mix (re-christened the "Crash Boom Bang Mix" by Peter) featured on the double A-side single with "Together Alone", and was then added as a bonus track to the "Overdrive (Reloaded)" reissued album in 2022.
The Bootleg Mash version was done for fun but cannot be released for legal reasons!
Peter Wilson: Careless Nights (2018)
Project K Pop Radio Mix*
Project K Turn It Into House Mix
"Careless Nights" was written by Euro-pop legend Ralf René Maué. Project K's unreleased Pop Radio Mix is a straightforward retro pop version with a casual nod in the direction of Kylie's "Turn It Into Love", whilst the 12" version is a mix of two halves, mixing that pop sensibility with a retro-house breakdown in the middle.
Peter Wilson: Like Dynamite (2019)
Project K Pop Radio Edit*
Project K's Rocket to Mars Mix
Project K's Rocket to Mars Dub*
Another stomping retro hi-NRG mix from Project K for this uplifting pop gem!
"Like in 1984, with the four-to-the-floor" indeed!
Peter Wilson: Don't Call Me Angel (2020)
Project K Club Remix
Project K Club Dub*
The sixth Project K remix for Peter Wilson saw a break in tradition, being the only mix not requested in the PWL style. This song has quite the pop pedigree, being written by Stock & Aitken, produced by Pete Hammond, and featuring Nicki French on BVs.
Peter Wilson: Another One To Love (2020)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Club Mix
A return to the PWL-esque retro sounds for "Another One To Love". Project K's radio edit was exclusive to the limited edition second CD single, with the club mix on CD1 and digital releases.
Peter Wilson: Fire Alarm (2020)
Project K Radio Edit*
Project K Extended Mix
Project K Dub*
"Fire Alarm" is another fabulous Gordon Pagoda co-write, and another killer pop single from Peter! Once again, Project K channels the hi-nrg stylings of those SAW heydays in his mixes, with added vocal locs and, well, what could be a fire alarm going off (in your heart?)!
Peter Wilson: I Cry For You (2021)
Project K Radio Remix*
Project K Tears in the Factory Mix
The ninth (and final, to date) Pro-K remix for Peter was for the distinctly European flavoured "I Cry For You". This remix takes the song from the European mainland to London for an 80s PWL-esque makeover. The melancholy and Euro flavours remain, but with added drama, syn-drums, synth fills, and vocal locs!
RetroPopBoy: Heartbreak On Vinyl (2019)
Project K Retro 7"
Project K Retro Remix
Project K Retro Dub*
Showing impeccable taste, the mysterious RetroPopBoy chose to cover this brilliant song by American Idol runner-up Blake Lewis. He even had a wonderful animated video made to accompany Project K's hi-NRG styled mix.
A song for people who fall in love in analogue and never let go!
RetroPopBoy: Never Felt As Good (2020)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K 12" Club Mix
Project K 12" Dub*
Pro-K went a bit more PSB than PWL on this cover of Belvedere Kane's single from '96. RPB even cleverly updated a couple of the lyrics to include Madonna & Kylie in the place of Abba & Motown. You know, because the song wasn't camp enough already!
7th Heaven remixes also followed.
RetroPopBoy: Dreaming (2024)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Extended Version
Project K Dub*
RPB requested another PWL-style production for his cover of OMD's 1988 single, "Dreaming", and it's a style that suits the song brilliantly. He's a big fan of those PWL vocal locs, so you'll find a few of those throughout, particularly on the extended version. The video, filmed on location in Barcelona is a spectacular showcase for slapstick stalking!
Ricky Wilde & Nina: Videotheque (2024)
Project K's Disco Edit*
Project K's Extended Disco Mix
Project K's Disco Instrumental*
Ricky Wilde & Nina's awesome cover of Dollar's "Videotheque" was taken to the discotheque at the request of the duo for their "Remixed Hearts" accompaniment to 2023's stunning "Scala Hearts" album. It's another slinky disco makeover from Project K, but with an added homage to electro pioneer Giorgio Moroder thrown in!
Rozalla: I Want you Back (2021)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K's Electric Love Club Mix
The Queen of Rave continued her comeback with the lovely, gentle "I Want You Back". Project K kept that piano line intact but made everything a little... well, less gentle! Speeded-up and funked-up, both the edit and club mix were made available on CD and digital single.
Rozalla: Lovefool (2023)
Project K Radio Edit*
Project K's Saturday Night Mix
Project K's Saturday Night Dub*
Not a cover of The Cardigans' 90s pop smash, Rozalla's "Lovefool" has actually been lurking around clubland for about 15 years, initially a collaboration with Distant Soundz. Now, this funky pop/club banger gets the exposure and recognition it deserves with a generously loaded digital remix EP. Project K's remix is pure 90s house joy, and one of his personal faves from this year!
Rozalla: You & I (2024)
Project K Album Mix
Project K Extended Mix*
Project K Instrumental*
This gloriously euphoric club track (a cover of the 90s banger from JK) features contemporary club production, sitting somewhere between house, trance and electro. Perhaps more intriguingly, Project K decided to work in a couple of nods to Rozalla's legendary early hits by way of homage. The song is available on all formats of the album "Turn on the Light".
Rozalla: Let's Go Together (2024)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Club Vocal
Project K Instrumental*
Originally a UK top 40 hit for Change in 1985, Rozalla's cover of "Let's Go Together" is a suitably classy soul/dance reimagining for 2024. Project K was asked to produce a stomping house remix of the song for its remix package, so expect big beats, a chunky bassline, and pounding pianos to underpin Rozalla's silky vocals.
The edit and Club Vocal mix both feature on the digital EP and CD single.
Sean Smith: Fire (2020)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K's Inferno Mix
X-Factor survivor Sean released his debut solo album, "Solo" in 2020. One of the standout tracks was the sexually-charged "Fire", given a suitably steaming hot club makeover by Project K for the 2CD and download versions of the album. Sean was so enamoured with the mix that he declared it his preferred mix for live performance.
Sean Smith: Human (2021)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K's Electric Love Club Mix
Sean's cover of The Killers' "Human" was released as a double A-side with his cover of Richard Marx's "Hazard". Project K's two remixes kept things poppy but added some perky piano and a cheeky synth riff.
Sean Smith: In Love With The Night (2022)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Extended Club Mix
Sean returned in '22 with a brand new single, the contemporary, breezy, summer dance-pop "In Love With The Night". Project K really changed things up on this one, creating a new chorus from Sean's ad-libs and then changing the chord progression behind that chorus half way through the song to build the tension!
Shakespear's Sister: You Made Me Come To This (2020)
Extended Version
Dub Mix*
Instrumental*
This fan favourite from the duo's debut "Sacred Heart" album never got a single release or extended version in 1989, so this new extended version was completed (using only the original stems from the studio masters) for the "Our History" box set in 2020 and the "Sacred Heart" 2CD reissue the following year. Previously unused vocals from both ladies feature on this mix.
Slashers: Comment, Like & Share (2023)
Project K Club Remix
Project K's Beautiful Dub
Slashers, not as scary as their name suggests, are a European electro pop outfit, fronted by singer Konrad Berger. "Comment, Like & Share" is their commentary on the pitfalls of excessive social media use. Project K's remixes are exclusive to the band's Bandcamp page and reinvent the track in a Pet-Shop-Boys-meets-Loreen style.
Slashers: Frustrated People (2024)
Frustrated People
Frustrierte Menschen (German Version)
Instrumental
"Frustrierte Menschen" was conceived by Slashers as a potential entry for Germany's Eurovision entry for 2024 and so the production is quite different from Project K's previous work with the band. The song also has an unusual lyric for a Eurovision/pop song, but continues the social commentary theme of "Comment, Like & Share"!
Sonia: A Night That's Never Ending (2020)
Project K Radio Mix
Project K Remix
Project K ElectroDub
Project K remixes were commissioned for a Christmas 2020 re-release for Sonia's wonderful "A Night That's Never Ending", co-written by the talented Gordon Pogoda (Steps, Nicki French). The CD single and digital release included Project K's radio edit.
The full length club mix was originally released only on a rather opulent and limited edition pink splatter vinyl 12" in January 2021. But a generously-loaded 14-mix EP issued in December 2024 included all three Project K mixes for the first time. Project K went a little more electro than usual on this mix, whilst still allowing the wonderful pop melody to shine through. The ElectroDub actually kept in most of the vocal but amped-up the electro vibe a little harder.
Sonia: Fool For Love (2020)
Project K Radio Mix
Project K Club Mix
Originally released in 2009, "Fool For Love" was given the Project K treatment in early 2020. The radio edit was an exclusive bonus on the "A Night That's Never Ending" CD single that same year. whilst the club mix appeared on the pink splatter vinyl (see above) and again on "The Barry Upton & Energise Collection" CD and download album in 2022.
Steps: Deeper Shade of Blue (2024)
Project K Hacienda Remix
Project K Hacienda Instrumental*
A huge top 5 hit in April 2000, this pop classic was given a total 2024 makeover for an RSD24 zoetrope picture disc release and anniversary digital single! Clocking in at 9 minutes and 11 seconds, Project K's Hacienda mix luxuriates in the sounds of 90s piano house and classic disco, with a few light trance touches for extra sparkle! The band themselves approved the mix as the only new addition to the pre-existing mixes from Steve Anderson, Sleazesisters, and Blockster. (The vinyl also contains the WIP and Flashmob remixes).
Steven Kimber: I Wanna Be The One (2022)
Project K Radio Mix
Project K Club Mix
Project K Dub Mix
Project K Instrumental
The Club, Dub & Instrumental mixes from Project K and MS Project are exclusive to the Bandcamp release. The edits are available on all streaming and download platforms.
StrictLove featuring Zan: Ain't No Man (2013)
Project K Tough Love Edit*
Project K Tough Love Club Mix
StrictLove employed the impressive vocal talents of Zan for their cover of Dina Carroll's classic "Ain't No Man". The remix package boasted Pete Hammond, K-Klass & JRMX remixes in addition to Project K's club mix.
Suzanna Dee: A Song I'm Going To Write (2017)
Project K Remix Edit
Project K Happening Mix
Project K 12'' Dub*
Yorkshire lass Suzanna Dee was troubling the UK charts in 2003 with her dance cover of Maria McKee's "Show Me Heaven". She was also a judge on BBC1's Geri-fronted 2019 talent show "All Together Now". The glorious"A Song..." was co-written by Charlie Mason (Conchita Wurst's "Rise Like A Phoenix"). Project K's remixes are pure early 90s pop. The video is well worth a watch, too - click the button above!
Tee Webb: Here Comes The Rain Again (2024)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Album Version*
Project K Extended Version
Project K Orchestrapella*
Project K Orchestrumental*
Project K Instrumental*
Although Project K had collaborated with Tee on the demos of "Fallout" and "Electric" for Tight Fit, this was the first collaboration for the pair on an actual Tee single. Taking on a song as classic and beloved as The Eurythmics' "Here Comes The Rain Again" is a daunting prospect for anyone, but Tee's vocals absolutely justify the exercise! Project K's production is respectful of the original 1983 track, but adds some new orchestral elements as well as beefing up the drums and bass and adding some piano for a more contemporary sound.
Tight Fit: Fallout (2021)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Club Mix
Nobody saw this coming. Tight Fit returned in 2021 and they did it in style, with a brand new song, written firmly in the power-pop category by Tee Webb & David Buswell, and co-produced by Project K and Matt Pop. National radio play followed and pop fans rejoiced! But could they repeat it...?
Tight Fit: Holding On To You (2022)
Project K Retro-Fit Edit
Project K Retro-Fit Club Mix
Project K Retro-Fit Dub*
Project K Retro-Fit Instrumental
Yes, they could. And yes, they did. Another new song, this time written for the band by David Bugg and produced by the irrepressible 7th Heaven. Project K was once again asked to provide a mix that echoed those halcyon days of PWL hi-NRG. Steve Grant from the band subsequently tweeted: "If Tight Fit had ever worked with SAW, I'd like to think it would have sounded a bit like this."
As with "Fallout", "Holding On To You" went on to top Mike Read's Heritage chart, as voted for by listeners from more than 80 countries!
Tight Fit: Electric (2023)
Project K Radio Edit
Project K Extended Mix
Project K Instrumental
Another Webb & Buswell composition and another pop monster! This one really lives up to its name. Project K's instrumental is actually the version that Tight Fit recorded their vocals to, and was produced back in 2020, before "Fallout". House piano stabs sit on an appropriately electro backing, topped with delicious disco strings!
"Electric" was the third consecutive Heritage chart topper for the band.
Tracey Shield: Ashes (2024)
Project K Remix
Project K Extended Remix
Project K Instrumental
Project K Extended Instrumental*
Tracey Shield is a British singer/songwriter and actress, and one of the world's leading Celine Dion tribute artists. Hot on the heels of the release of Marvel's latest Deadpool movie, Tracey releases her stunning take on the theme from its prequel, Celine Dion's "Ashes". Project K's production is a slamming piano house take on the original, although the strength of the original song and Tracey's powerhouse vocals are allowed to shine through. There are some atmospheric and moody touches amongst the big beats, especially on the extended version, which also features a brooding, slowed-down breakdown in the middle.
