 LATEST RELEASE

Out now on CD single and digital release is the next single from talented singer-songwriter Tee Webb. He is following up the brilliant "Love Is Digital" with a Project K produced cover of The Eurythmics' 1983 classic "Here Comes The Rain Again".

It's a brave person that takes on an Annie Lennox vocal, but Tee absolutely nails it, and Project K's production is highly respectful of the original whilst adding a couple of new flavours.

Project K's edit and extended version are joined by a US circuit style mix from David Harry.

RetroPopBoy continues his occasional series of carefully-selected cover versions, following "Heartbreak on Vinyl", "Never Felt As Good" and "Loved" with this inspired reimagining of OMD's 1988 single "Dreaming".

As requested by RetroPopBoy, Project K's production falls somewhere between PWL and Pet Shop Boys, a style which suits the song perfectly. The edit and extended version are available to stream and download from all the usual digital platforms now.

The video was shot on location in Barcelona and is, according to the artist, possibly the world's first example of slapstick stalking!

 OUT NOW

Out now on CD single and digital are brand new tracks from Thereza Bazar's Dollar and Tracey Shields, both featuring club remixes from Project K.

Tracey Shield, best known for her tributes to Celine Dion, is releasing her incredible version of Celine's "Ashes", the stunning theme from Marvel's 'Deadpool 2'. US Circuit mixes from David Harry are joined by piano house interpretations from Project K. Tracey's vocals have to be heard to be believed.

Meanwhile, Thereza Bazar and Stephen Fox continue their resurrection of the Dollar b(r)and with the self-written pop/dance track, "Stuck". Pete Ware provides the main commercial mix whilst Project K has delivered a tougher, more club-friendly remix with big beats and in-your-face bass!

 OUT NOW

Nicki French has just released her new album, entitled "Who, What, Where?", which is available now on digital platforms and on CD with two new and exclusive bonus remixes.

The album features the singles "Haunted Heart", "Nothing Is Impossible", "High Hopes and Heartaches" and "Last Dance", the first three of which were all remixed by Project K for their single releases. Of the other eight brand new tracks on the album, "Falling For An Angel" is a Project K production.

The CD is the main attraction here with its two bonus remixes, a Matt Pop version of "Falling For An Angel" and an exclusive Project K remix of the album's title track. Both Project K tracks have a disco vibe to them, reminiscent of his recent "Night at 54" mixes for Dannii Minogue, Ace of Base and Ricky x Nina.

A strictly limited red splatter vinyl (due in November) is also available to pre-order.

Out now is Nicki French's stunning cover of "High Hopes & Heartaches", a song written by Abba's Benny Andersson & Bjorn Ulvaeus for Josefin Nilsson's 1993 album "Shapes".

Matt Pop's production stays quite true to the Abba boys' original for Josefin, whilst Project K gives his versions a little more hi-NRG welly to match the power of Nicki's vocal delivery.

The CD single (available from Energise Records) and digital EPs include Matt Pop's edit and extended mixes, plus the same from Project K with a bonus "Diva Dub" that puts some more of Nicki's otherwise-unused adlibs to the fore!

There are also official videos for both the Matt Pop and Project K radio edits, each featuring a different cheeky outtake from Nicki at the end!

 OUT NOW

Out now is the new single from Rozalla, "Let's Go Together", lifted from her brilliant album, "Turn On The Light".

Originally a hit for Change in 1985, Rozalla's cover is a classy soul/dance updating, with production from the legendary Matt Pop.

For a clubbier take, Project K has once again been enlisted, following his remixes for previous singles "I Want You Back" and "Lovefool", and his production on album track "You & I". Expect a chunky bass line and pounding house pianos.

Matt Pop & Project K are joined by LA Rush for a six-mix digital EP and CD single.

Steps Deeper front.jpg

The first of two Record Store Day 2024 releases to include Project K remixes is this opulent zoetrope picture disc for Steps' monster hit "Deeper Shade of Blue". Steps should need no introduction. They are the most successful co-ed group in British chart history and have sold more than 22 million records.

"Deeper Shade of Blue" was originally a UK top 5 hit in hit April 2000. This RSD-exclusive picture disc features six mixes of the classic single, including the brand new ‘Project K Hacienda Mix’. The reverse of the picture disc features a zoetrope of the iconic ‘Deeper Shade of Blue’ music video.

Project K's remix is a nine-minute epic, taking influences from disco, house and trance, proving that you can't keep a good pop tune down, and getting this classic single ready for dance floors in '24.

Record Store Day releases are strictly limited edition, sold on a first-come-first-served basis exclusively through independent (bricks & mortar) record shops on 20th April, although any remaining stock can be sold online afterwards. For this reason, I am unable to provide online sales links here.

The second of two Record Store Day 2024 releases to include Project K remixes is this beautiful transparent red double vinyl set for Kim Wilde's "Special Disco Mixes". Featuring the same ten remixes as the fourth disc in the "Love Blonde: The RAK Years" box set (see article below), this exclusive release is the only place you will find the Luke Mornay, Matt Pop & Project K remixes of those early Kim singles on vinyl.

With stunning artwork and design (using previously unseen photos) by Tom Parker for Cherry Red, the release looks both current and 80s-appropriate, just as the remixes were intended to sound.

Record Store Day releases are strictly limited edition, sold on a first-come-first-served basis exclusively through independent (bricks & mortar) record shops on 20th April, although any remaining stock can be sold online afterwards. For this reason, I am unable to provide online sales links here.

"Love Blonde: The RAK Years" is the most comprehensive collection of Kim Wilde’s RAK output ever assembled. Boasting 50 tracks across four CDs, it brings together Kim's three classic studio albums, "Kim Wilde", "Select" and "Catch as Catch Can", each remastered and expanded with bonus tracks. Even more exciting is the new "Special Disco Mixes" album, which features ten Kim singles (from across various territories) extended and reinvented in the spirit of the 80s.

I have provided three of the six brand new mixes for this disc, with all-new versions of "Water on Glass" (UK #11), "View From as Bridge" (UK #16) and "Love Blonde" (UK #23).

You can read a bit of detail about the remixes on the "Selected Remixes" page of this site, some of which is taken from the liner notes for the new CD box set, which includes interviews with Luke Mornay, Matt Pop and me on our creative processes.

You can stream or download the whole set now and the 4CD set is available from all good retailers.

Unbelievably, it's 20 years since Dannii Minogue released her electro-pop masterpiece LP, "Neon Nights", which included the huge hits "Who Do You Love Now", "Put the Needle On It", Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling" and "I Begin to Wonder".

Dannii & London Records celebrated this Danniiversary with a range of amazing products, even commissioning a handful of new mixes to enhance the offering, including Initial Talk's reworking of "Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling", Luke Mornay's take on "For the Record", AMYL's "Blame It On The Music" and my own remixes of "I Begin to Wonder".

It was an absolute honour to remix such a classic pop/club track (and personal fave!) and all the mixes were approved by Dannii herself. You'll find my 8 minute 40 second 'All Night at 54' mix on the standard CD, all three vocal mixes on the sumptuous 100+ track seven-CD set, and my 'Night at 54' radio edit on the store-exclusive cassette (now sold out) and on streaming platforms.

There is also a completely different, more contemporary Piano Mix, which is exclusive to the seven-CD set.

I was thrilled and honoured to be asked to produce a remix for the Ricky Wilde x Nina "Remixed Hearts" album, which is available to stream and download now.

Ricky Wilde is, of course, the brother of Kim, and writer and producer of her many hits. Nina is a gorgeous German chanteuse who has found huge success on the sythnwave scene. Their "Scala Hearts" album was one of my favourite albums of last year, so I was over the moon to be asked to (and I quote) "disco the shit out of" opening track (and Dollar cover) "Videotheque".

Their wish was my command, and so the track has been given the Project K disco makeover, in the style of my recent "Night at 54" mixes for Dannii Minogue and Ace of Base, but with a twist in the form of a direct nod to that master of disco and electronica, Giorgio Moroder!

Other remixers on the album include Ricky himself, legendary Brother-in-Rhythm and pop producer supreme, Steve Anderson, and a host of star producers from the synthwave scene.

If you haven't listened to "Scala Hearts", please give it a spin on your steaming services. It is also available to buy on vinyl and CD from here.

 OUT NOW

I am delighted to confirm that I have provided no fewer than 20 new mixes for the new, career-spanning Ace of Base CD singles boxset, which is out now from Demon Music.

Ace of Base should need no introduction – their debut album sold over 21 million copies around the world and was the best-selling album of 1994 in the US!

To work on classic tracks like “All That She Wants” and “The Sign” was an honour and a pleasure! But just as exciting was to turn “The Juvenile” back into a Bond theme and to drag “Would You Believe” onto the dance floor at Studio 54.

I also created a near-13-minute Project K “Ace of Clubs” MegaRemix that welds nine of their hits to an all-new electro-disco backing track. This is not your average slice ‘n’ splice megamix.

For more detail on the mixes, just visit the Selected Remixes page. For a full list of the 20 mixes, pop along to my Remixography.
